Ras Mohammed or Tiran Island?
- Ras Mohammed and White Island (about 8 hours): two snorkeling stops in the national park plus White Island, a sandbank in the open sea. Park entrance included.
- Tiran Island (about 8 hours): a two-hour sail up the Gulf of Aqaba to the reefs of the Strait of Tiran, with a stop at the shallow Blue Lagoon and three snorkeling stops in all.
- Private speedboat to Tiran Island (2 hours, €120 per boat for up to 5 people): your own boat and captain, snorkeling gear included, away from the big boats.
- Ras Mohammed by bus (5 hours): a land tour of the park with snorkeling from the beach — the shortest and cheapest option.
- Diving at Tiran Island (about 8 hours, €40): two introductory dives to a maximum of 6 m and 10 m with an instructor, equipment and lunch on board — no licence needed.
- Scuba diving in Ras Mohammed (about 8 hours, €40): a boat trip into the national park with one introductory dive, instructor, equipment, park entry and lunch.
- Shore dive at El Fanar Beach (2–3 hours, €22): one introductory dive from the beach to 6–8 m with an instructor, equipment and beach entry — the quickest way to try diving.
Tips for a good day
- Use reef-safe sun cream and a T-shirt or rash vest — the sun on the water is strong
- Never stand on or touch the coral
- Bring a towel, water and a waterproof bag for your phone
- If you are not a confident swimmer, wear a life jacket; in Ras Mohammed it is required
