Travel from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo overnight by comfortable bus and spend the day with the greatest treasures of ancient Egypt: the new Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza. The trip runs every day, so it's easy to fit into your holiday.
You're picked up around midnight and travel in an air-conditioned bus with a toilet. In Cairo you meet your guide and explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, with thousands of artefacts including the famous collection of King Tutankhamun. After a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon is spent on the Giza plateau with the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Chephren. There's free time for shopping and an optional Nile boat ride before the bus heads back.
It's a long day, about 24 hours, with drop-off around 00:30 the following night. The price of €80 per adult includes hotel transfers, the bus, entrance to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the visit to the pyramids, Sphinx and Valley Temple, lunch and a guide speaking English, Russian or Italian. Important: Cairo is outside the Sinai, so you need a full Egypt visa, not the free Sinai-only stamp.
