White Canyon is located not far from the road connecting Dahab and St Catherine. The entrance is a crack in the rock, which you enter down by rope and a ladder. (not for the faint hearted !). Inside is a nice stroll along a white sandy bottom. Some parts need climbing up and sliding down. I do not recommend it for kids smaller than 8 years or very obese people as the cracks and passages are narrow…

Nice hike in winter. Needs a reasonable level of fitness as there are a couple of places where you need to scramble down. Ends as the canyon widens out and there is an oasis at the end where lunch is served. You need to go with a tour guide as permissions are required and there are a lot of check posts along the way. Recommended for a day trip from Dahab or Sharm el Sheikh.
